Shelter Dog Escapes And Shows Up At House Of Woman Who Fed Him Treats

Abbey Boyd works at the Northwest Territories SPCA shelter as a kennel worker. Ted came to the shelter scared and withdrawn. To help make him feel better, Abby gave him a bacon and cheese flavored treat. Little did she know how powerful that simple action was. With that one act of kindness, Ted decided that that human was a keeper!

Ted, a German Shepherd/Akita mix escaped from the SPCA in Yellowknife, Canada and tracked her down! Abbey had gone home for the day. When she got up to go to her second job Ted was there – on her front porch – barking at her! Ted had traveled about 3.5 miles to find her. Abbey wasn’t able to ignore such a powerful sign.

She was ‘chosen’ and is willing to take Ted and make him part of her family! Dogs are a great judge of character!
