This story comes to us from the amazing people from Hope For Paws.
They are a rescue group based out of California that helps injured and neglected dogs.
A woman called Hope For Paws to tell them about a stray Chihuahua that had been living in the neighborhood for about five months.
They found the dog lying in the rain on top of an old box.
The dog, Princess, was in bad shape.

But her story isn’t over yet, Princess needs a home.
We can’t let any dog live on top of a box – ever.
