Buried alive. A man was walking in southwest Montreal when he heard some faint whimpering. Then he saw the dog’s paw sticking out of the ground! CbC.ca reported that he man dug into the earth and uncovered a male bull mastiff alive. The man then called 911 and officers immediately arrived at the scene and helped him uncover the dog.
Linda Roberston, Monteregie SPCA inspector, said that it is likely that the dog’s owners thought he was dead when they buried him; the dog was wrapped in a blanket. The dog was rushed to a veterinary hospital in Chambly and is in critical condition.
The dog may have been strangled and hit with a blunt object before being buried. Let us hope the monsters responsible for this attempted murder are caught and punished. Persons with information about the dog are being asked to call the SPCA at 450.460.2779.
Share away, people.
