Tim Tawater was walking down the street one day, minding his own business until he spotted a house on fire. As a proud Nashville firefighter, he couldn’t just leave it be and foregoed his party plans. Tim was one of the first to respond to the house fire.
Tim spotted a dog, who was actually guarding the house before the fire started but panicked once it saw him. It ran towards the front door and into the house of flames. Tim hurried into the house and ferried the dog to safety. The family thanked Tim for saving their family dog’s life, even though he was off-duty.
