Dog Fights Off Coyotes And Protects Teen For 2 Days After Car Crash

A King Shepherd named Sako is being called a hero.

The dog helped to save the life of a teenager who had been injured in a car accident.

The accident happened in the wilderness of Kanaka Bar, British Columbia.

Joseph Phillips-Garcia and two others were out fishing and gathering wild potatoes.

Sako, the loyal family dog, was with them.

On the drive back, the car crashed. Joseph and Sako survived, the others died.

Joseph had a bone in his leg sticking out from the skin, and he could barely move.

Sako stayed by his side for 2 days and kept him warm, he even fought off coyotes and helped drag Joseph to a creek so he could drink.
