Shy Farmer Dazzles X-Factor Judges With Her Beautiful Voice

Most of her life, 53-year old Jacqueline Faye has been a loving spouse to her farmer husband in Oxfordshire, England, where both of them raise livestock.

But the usually shy woman just had to take a chance on a lifelong dream when she stepped onto the stage at The X Factor auditions, choosing the hit single “You’re My World” by Cilla Black to perform in front of the judges and audience members.

A spirit of newfound confidence filled Jacqueline. Rather than display characteristic nervousness, she surprised everyone by performing like a musical superstar.

After a quiet introduction in which she dedicated her performance to her loving and supportive husband, as well as the farm animals with whom she spends most of her time, she launched into a rousing performance of her song.

Although many of the judges laughed when they found out she was a simple farmer’s wife with no musical experience, even Judge Robbie Williams, whom Jacqueline admitted was her favorite on the judging panel, paid attention when she began singing.

She called him an icon and the kind of person whom she’d like to consider as a family member.

When Robbie asked about Jacqueline’s husband, she admitted that he was the most wonderful husband in the world for allowing her to pursue her dream of singing while he took full charge of all of their farming responsibilities.

Any members of the audience who were initially laughing when this amateur began her song soon stopped giggling.

Judges and audience members alike were spellbound by the passion and professionalism displayed in her performance.

Jacqueline’s appearance at The X Factor auditions was a reminder to everyone that you can never judge a book by its cover.

Even Simon Cowell, usually the judge who is the quickest to cut newcomers down to size, had only praise for Jacqueline’s performance, admitting:

“I originally thought you had come to the wrong show and your singing would reflect that, but I couldn’t have been more mistaken.”

Judge Louis Tomlinson agreed, adding that he was glad The X Factor could be a showcase “for someone your age” disproving everyone’s doubts about their abilities.

This 53-year old farmer’s wife is living proof that you should never give up on pursuing your dreams.

If you believe in yourself, the time will eventually come as it did for Jacqueline Faye to follow her dream of getting noticed by important people in the music business.
