The authorities came and took the baby to a local hospital, the poor infant was just a few weeks old. The baby was suffering from hypothermia and was malnourished. According to reports, the infant is now doing well.
No one has been able to find out who the baby belongs to – yet. We hope that with further investigation, the person(s) responsible are found and punished.
But, until then, we have Orejón to thank for this happy ending! Many people have offered to adopt Orejón once the story of his actions hit news outlets. It is too bad that we don’t give more attention to street animals before things like this happen.
The next time you are thinking about getting a new pet – adopt one, you may get a hero dog, like Orejón!
