I have never used a dog groomer – have you? I take pride in grooming my dog. When you take your dog to be groomed the last thing you expect is for your dog to die. But, a grooming session ended in death at a Petco located in Middletown, Rhode Island. The victim was Ollie, a five-year-old pug. Ollie didn’t have any pre-existing medical conditions, and it is unclear how (or why) he died.
The Middletown Animal control office and the Rhode Island SPCA have started an investigation. In a statement, Petco indicated that they have launched their own investigation. They went on to say that they were saddened by Ollie’s death and that they are committed to doing what they can to help Ollie’s family.

So, use caution when you take your pet to the groomer! Some dogs don’t have to go to a groomer – you can groom them yourself!
