A glass of wine a day – they say may be good for your health.
But a 35-year-old woman, Jo, living in the UK drank way more than that and actually started to look like she was pregnant!
Jo had become dependent on alcohol and reportedly drank three bottles of wine a day!
She seriously damaged her liver and developed cirrhosis.
The scar tissue in her liver cause the nutrients that a healthy liver processes to build up in her abdomen.
Jo had so much fluid in her belly, she had to get it drained (which was a painful process to endure).
After going through this medical emergency, Jo did get sober, but her liver will never recover.
