In India, an animal rescue group named Animal Aid Unlimited had received an SOS phone call.
They were told to rescue a stray dog which was suffering from a chronic case of mange and dehydration.
The poor dog was unable to stand when they found her curled up on the street side.
Her skin was covered with painful scabs and it had seemed that she had lost all hope of surviving.
When she was picked up, she could only cry out in pain.
Help, however, was on the way.
