Meet The Scientist Who Is On The Verge Of Curing Multiple Sclerosis For 2.3 Million Patients

Meet one of the world’s most innovative female scientists today: Dr. Su Metcalfe. She is responsible for a great medical innovation that may protect our future loved ones from a particular auto-immune disease, named Multiple Sclerosis.

The disease is deadly, and one of its dangerous qualities is that the brain and spinal cord cells are left permanently damaged. This causes a barrage of problems, including blindness , muscle weakness and many others. Dr. Metcalfe founded a company, named LIFNano, whose medical team had discovered a small binary switch to regulate itself inside the immunity cells. Triggered by the switch, the find, LIF, is also able to control the cells, thus reducing a uncontrollable body cell attack. That is great news, isn’t it?
