Reggie used to belong to Paul Mallory. Paul Mallory had died serving his country in Iraq. To serve his country, Mallory had to give up his best friend, Reggie. When Reggie was adopted by another man, the shelter gave them two weeks to get to know each other. If things didn’t work out the man could bring the dog back.
The man didn’t know where Reggie came from. Reggie was just a dog at the shelter. After two weeks, the man was going to take Reggie back; things hadn’t worked out. As he was packing things up, he found the note. The note that Paul Mallory had left with Reggie when he gave him up. You will need a few tissues for this one.
