After Nearly 2 Decades Meet Rare Sea Wolves Who Eat Seafood And Swim For Hours

Have you ever heard of sea wolves? Me either, read on to learn more about this amazing animal! Sea wolves can be found living around the Pacific coast of British Columbia. One look and you may think they are just regular wolves playing in the water, but Ian McAllister, an award-winning photographer, has been trying to study these amazing animals for nearly twenty years and says they are behaviorally very different from land dwelling wolves.

According to McAllister, 90% of the food the sea wolves eat comes from the ocean. The wolves will swim from island to island eating sea animals, and they are typically smaller than wolves that live on land.

Even the DNA of the sea wolves is distinct – so, they are not just regular wolves!

Sea wolves are excellent swimmers and can do a 7.5-mile swim without stopping! That is something no ‘regular’ wolf would be able to do!
