Routine is important. Most people have a morning routine. You get up, eat breakfast, then shower. Or maybe you shower and then eat breakfast. Doing things in the same way each day ensures you don’t forget something. It helps take the mystery out of the day for young children. It helps reduce stress and anxiety in young children.
Children have very little control of their lives, but with a routine, they at least know what is going to happen next. Sierra has a routing every morning – it is the cutest routine you will ever see! Before Sierra leaves for school, she kisses her dog, Samson, on the nose. Not just one kiss, mind you, three kisses!
