One day back in April 23, Rodney Smith Jr. and his friend Terence were sitting out on the porch chilling out.
That’s when their 93-year-old neighbor was spotted by them, struggling to mow her overgrown lawn.
He and his friend pitched in to help her, but that sparked an idea too – Rodney wanted to do more.
He established the Raising Men Lawn Care, an organization whose mission is dedicated to helping neighbors in need, whilst specializing in yard maintenance.
Since then, Rodney’s association has mowed more than 300 lawns, staffed by 20 volunteers!
