Construction works in Araras, Brazil were faced with this dilemma as they worked away in a building. They began to hear strange sounds coming from within a wall and carefully used the tools that they had on hand to see where they were coming from.

When they did, they realized that it was coming from a drain pipe that was under the ground. Reverberation had caused the noises to echo across the foundations and seep through the wall.
