Hundreds Of Unwanted Dogs Were Left Homeless — Until One Woman Took Them In

Lya Battle is a well-known canine lover and savior who resides in Costa Rica. To date, she has saved and housed at least 100 dogs – and all of them were on the verge of death and former roamers.

And it all started with Diego, a 15-year-old Schnauzer who was ill and weak, plus he had a lot of tumors in him to boot. Then he met his guardian angel, Lya when she visited the local shelter to pick up some dog kibble.

Lya realized that Diego was about to be euthanized – therefore she requested to adopt him to save his life.

Diego lived happily with Lya until he passed away 3 to 4 years later.

Diego wasn’t the only one Lya has saved.
