Dogs are amazing creatures. If you own a dog, you are a very lucky person! A Golden retriever named Murdoc was adopted by a loving man from an animal shelter. Murdoc would never sleep at night. Instead, he would sit and watch his new owner as he slept. Finding this behavior rather strange, the man took Murdoc to the vet.

The veterinarian couldn’t figure this odd behavior out either. The man returned to the shelter and found out that Murdoc’s previous family had abandoned him at the shelter while he was sleeping. They decided they couldn’t take care of him any longer.

So, the explanation for Murdoc’s behavior was simple, he didn’t ever want to be abandoned again. We may never realize the impact we have on our pets.
