Dying Woman Has Just One Wish – That All Her Rescue Dogs Find Loving Homes

After being diagnosed with terminal cancer, Gloria Gutierrez was put into hospice care. Her primary concern was finding a home for her six rescued dogs – Muñeca, Bruno, Light, Mega, Brandy, and Vera. To Gloria, the dogs were her ‘babies, ’ and she wanted to make sure they were taken care of after she was gone.

God’s Dog Rescue, located in San Antonio, Texas, is helping Gloria rehome her beloved dogs. Gloria had taken in all of them. Each dog had been abandoned by their owners but found a loving home with Gloria.

Muñeca’s story is the most tragic. Her owner had been sent to jail, and Muñeca was left alone. Then she got hit by a car. Muñeca is paralyzed and drags her back legs behind her.

Gloria’s daughter, Vickie Esparza, recalls that Muñeca had a bad case of mange when they found her – she had been hiding under a trailer home.
