Rescued dogs have a story that we may never know. Dogs can’t talk and tell us how they ended up scarred and bruised. They can’t tell us why certain things scare them. We don’t know what horrors and abuses they endured until we found them.
All we can do is try to love them and reassure them that things will be okay. Lou was adopted from a shelter, and his new family was told that he came from an abusive home.
Abused dogs may need a lot of time to get acclimated to a new, loving environment. Lou’s new family was willing to give him all the time he needed!
Lou, an Italian greyhound, was very shy and avoided strangers and other dogs. His new family decided to expose him to something positive to help get him out of his shell.
What they did is usually only something celebrities, and the wealthy do – they went to the Hamptons!
