Tough Bikers Line Up In Walmart For 5 Days. Then They Leave With Nearly 200 New Kids’ Bikes.

The holidays can bring out the best in people. When you go to the store, you hear the Salvation Army bell ringing. Inside, there may be a large box for the Marine Corps “Toys For Tots” campaign. In my local grocery store, the Toys for Tots box was overflowing! It warms the heart to see that so many people do care about those less fortunate during the holidays.

The Marines and local churches are not the only ones who collect items for the homeless during the holidays. Hells Angels has a sector in Fresno County, California that buys bicycles for Christmas.

This year for the holidays, the members went to their local Wal-mart during the Black Friday sales and bought up all bicycles. They were going to give the bikes to the homeless children as part of the 16th annual event called Hells Angels’ toy run.

The proceeds from the toy run go to families and children from the Poverello House. The bikers were able to get almost 200 bikes this year. One member of Hells Angels reportedly waited outside a Wal-Mart for five days just to get some bikes.

Merl Hefferman, a Hells Angel, said there isn’t enough money in the world that could make him feel as good as he does when he gives the bikes to the children. Watch the video below to see the Hells Angels in action.

The pictures of the happy kids on their new bikes will brighten anyone’s day. Share away, people!
